Ron Herbes brings a wealth of experience in film and television production to his role as Managing Partner of DGEM (Diapason Global Education for Music). His extensive 20-year career in Hollywood, beginning at 20th Century Fox and encompassing work at major studios like Universal and Disney, has provided him with a deep understanding of all facets of the industry. From editorial and post-production to producing and even acting, Ron has contributed to hundreds of films and television series, including well-known titles such as “Miami Vice,” “Rocky V,” “The Waterboy,” and “Alien 3.” This diverse experience, coupled with his later academic pursuits, has uniquely prepared him to lead DGEM’s innovative approach to global music education.

Ron’s commitment to education is evident in his return to academia to earn a bachelor’s degree in digital film and video production. This passion for sharing knowledge led him to teach film, sound design, and music recording at various colleges in Las Vegas. Notably, he designed and served as Program Chair for the Audio Production Recording & Film programs at the International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT). Within a year, this program became the largest and most successful of its kind in Nevada, demonstrating Ron’s ability to build and lead successful educational initiatives. His subsequent promotions to Manager of Community Relations and then Campus Director and President of a major film college further underscore his leadership capabilities and dedication to educational advancement.

Ron’s combined expertise in film production and academic leadership is instrumental in shaping DGEM’s vision. His understanding of the entertainment industry, coupled with his experience in developing and managing educational programs, allows him to effectively bridge the gap between creative content and accessible learning. He is a key figure in developing DGEM’s cutting-edge platform, which provides high-quality online curricula to a global audience. His insights into production, distribution, and marketing are essential for ensuring that DGEM’s educational resources reach both those who can afford them and, crucially, those in underserved communities who can benefit most from free access.
